Ordinary vs Extraodinary?

In an extreme change in the usual “I’m having the best time ever” posts and the ”woooo look at me! no hands!” posts, I’m going to throw out a philosophically heavy (relative to the usual) post!

Having finished my 2nd degree I’m faced with an unusual problem. What now? I had promised myself 2 months to fully recover from school an just have a good time. With that, I think I have fully lived up the last 6 weeks pretty well without totally foregoing all responsibilties and committments (other than not picking up my parents from the airport to go surfing instead).

So now, what do I do? Find a job and launch into a lifetime of full-time work? Travel? (There’s a surfing adventure that I’ve been sold on recently)… PhD? (Dr. Hooch sounds cool).

I was listening to a talk yesterday by Dr. Jack Taunton. Super impressive list of accomplishments! His introduction was a continuous list of very awesome things he’s started or is a part of. What does this have anything to do with anything? Well…

“How do you live the life of the extrodinary? more importantly “How do you live YOUR life to the extraodinary? Really, copying someone elses extraordinary life is only super ordinary” God forbid I wake up when I’m 50 and I have to look forward to going to work at Hyde Creek as a lifeguard (not that there’s anything wrong with that, only that in this hypothetical scenario,  I would have been working in one spot for 35 years without a promotion). Although, that would be extraordinary in all the wrong ways

Yep… all done school… on a side note, I saw a really cool goat on my ride yesterday!
